Dedicated to Restoring Hope

HOPE NOW is a 501(c)3 community non-profit group that focuses on providing urgent, necessary assistance for rent, security deposit, utilities, transportation and medical related needs to applicants within the Elkhorn School District area.

HOPE NOW was formed to assist as many people as possible without duplicating efforts or enabling abuse of the community’s charitable nature. Since it’s incorporation in 2004, HOPE NOW has provided over $600,000 in assistance to over a thousand Elkhorn area households to help meet emergency, short term needs.

HOPE NOW meets with applicants at the Options Virtual Charter School, 534 Sunset Dr, Elkhorn, WI starting at 6:30pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month.

Applications are reviewed during an interview and options for assistance and/or referrals to other agencies are discussed. After further review and verification of information provided to HOPE NOW, appropriateness of the request and possible assistance is determined by the HOPE NOW volunteer panel.

When assistance is provided, checks are written directly to landlords or service providers, not to the applicant. Applicants must reside within the Elkhorn Area School District. Assistance may only be provided once in a twelve month period to a household.
